Calvin Ly, DO, MBA

Calvin is a diligent and ambitious individual who strives for quality and excellence; his goal is to deliver quality care to patients. He was valedictorian at Grace Davis high school, graduated with honors at UCSD in Biochemistry and earned the highest distinction of Summa Cum Laude at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Calvin earned his MBA in Health Care Leadership while attending medical school; his class was the second graduating class to take advantage of this dual degree program.

 

His first career after Emergency Medicine training at Case Western Reserve University was with Kaiser in the Emergency Department in the Los Angeles and Orange County regions. He then transferred up to Northern California to take on a new leadership role managing the Cowell Health Center located at Santa Clara University. He honed his communication educational and management skills working with physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and medical assistants, while developing memorable memories and rapport with the students at SCU. While working at Santa Clara University, Calvin kept up his emergency skillset by commuting up to San Francisco, working in the Emergency Department at the California Pacific Medical Center (both Davies and St. Luke’s Campuses) and at Chinese Hospital. He applied the Spanish he learned in high school and college and the Cantonese he learned as a child. He believes excellent communication skills are critical and crucial in delivering quality medical care to patients.

 

Calvin was born and raised in the Central Valley region of California. He is the second child of four children. His parents owned a computer business assembling custom designed desktops to clients, which included the Stanislaus Unified School District. He is the first generation in his family to obtain a four-year college degree. He is the first physician in the family. During his spare time, Calvin loves to be active: run, bike, hike, swim and play tennis and golf. During his down time, Calvin likes to read and watch comedies. Recently, he has been anticipating the new seasons of West World and the Game of Thrones.

Antoinette Shih, RN

Antoinette is a Registered Nurse who takes pride in providing holistic and quality care to all of her patients and families. She is a compassionate and driven individual who strives to perform comprehensive clinical practice in the healthcare setting while building relationships both on a professional and personable level. She believes that proper communication and patient education is essential in achieving individualized health goals. Antoinette graduated from the Dominican University of California with Honors and joins the Crossover team with a background as a Recovery Nurse in the perioperative setting, a Home Health RN Case Manager as well as experience as a clinic nurse at a fast-paced multi-physician OBGYN office. Antoinette is eager to collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in preventative healthcare. 

 

Antoinette was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area with a passion for traveling and experiencing new things. Leading a healthy and active lifestyle, Antoinette enjoys working out through various fitness activities.  With past experience as a stylist, she also has a strong appreciation for style and fashion. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to a broad range of music, reading, and creative writing, and values time spent with family and friends

Lidys Kirkland enjoys reaching out to help others and nursing has given her the opportunity to do so. During the eight years of her career, she has worked in different acute care centers and different specialties like cardiology, neurosurgery, medical-surgical, orthopedics and outpatient surgery. Lidys’ received her degree in from Sharon Regional school of Nursing in 2010. After graduating she decided to become a traveling nurse which brought to California. Since coming to California 5 years ago, she has completed multiple traveling contracts at different hospitals in the bay area.

 

She is passionate about helping the world to have access to health care. She is associated with Project Cure a non- profit organization that help hospitals in need in developing countries. Last year with the help of this organization she coordinated the donation of 27 tons of medical equipment to the hospital where she was born in a small town in northern Colombia. She plans to volunteer in one of the medical missions of project cure will have in Panama next year. Being a native Spanish speaker had given her the privilege to help many who can’t communicate in English. This motivated her to become certified as a bilingual medical interpreter as well.

 

She is currently Finishing her Baccalaureate In Nursing and plans to start working in her Masters in Nursing and possibly become a Nurse Practitioner.

 

She was born and raised In Colombia and moved to the United States twelve years ago. She is the third of four sisters. Her hobbies are dancing, hiking, cooking and learning new languages.

Rachel is a Bay Area transplant and California native from Long Beach in Southern California. She thrives in the metropolitan area, but dedicates time to escape the city life to hike, ski, and explore this State’s beautiful beaches. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Anthropology at San Francisco State University. She’s always curious about the norms of different cultures, how humans have evolved over time, and what’s next as the human race progresses with science and technology as a driving force.

 

Rachel is a member of Le Donne d’Italia: an Italian women’s group dedicated to preserving Italian culture here in San Francisco. When she’s not at a social event, she’s learning to speak Italian and making fresh pasta to share with loved ones. She and her fiance enjoy traveling, cooking, and medieval time period science fiction shows.

 

Rachel has been a dedicated patient coordinator with Crossover Health for over 3 years and continues to thrive as she improves operations, collaborates on big projects, and keeps the patient experience as a top priority.

Jerardo Torres Rodriguez is a self-driven, independent individual who’s motivated through hard work and determination. He loves communicating with people and building relationships. He is a fast learner who loves to be challenged. Jerardo Torres-Rodriguez has utilized his communication skills in many different avenues. He worked in the car rental industry for over two years. During that time, he learned to multitask and build relationships with customers from diverse backgrounds. He played college Football and started all four years. Postgrad he worked as a Marketing Research Manager for a crowdfunding company. He gained knowledge of building networks from angel investors and startups.

 

Jerardo Torres-Rodriguez was born Santa Maria, CA and raised in a little town called Nipomo, CA. He attended Menlo College where he received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He is the first generation in his family to obtain a college degree. He is the oldest of four children and has worked hard to set a good example as a role model for his siblings. Some of the
activities Jerardo enjoys are drawing, reading comic books, anime and customizing sneakers.
He spends much of his time customizing sneakers and building his side business which he is very passionate about.

Joseph graduated cum laude from the University of San Francisco in 1998 with a Bachelor of Art degree in Exercise and Sports Science. He pursued his graduate education and received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles in 2001. Joseph has 16 years of clinical experience and has worked in a variety of orthopedic practices. He managed a large physical therapy practice in Palo Alto where he helped develop a unique post-operative knee and shoulder rehab program with Stanford Sports Medicine. In 2008, Joseph completed the year-long course for Australian Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy and obtained his specialization as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist. He obtained additional specializations as an APTA Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2011 and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2016. Joseph was a Senior Physical Therapist for the Stanford Outpatient Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy department where he was recognized as an Advanced Clinician and specialized in running and sports-related injuries. He was a faculty instructor and primary mentor for the Stanford Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program and assisted physicians with patient care during weekly clinic hours. He helped coordinate and participated in evaluations for a sports wellness program for runners and worked as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students. Joseph currently is an adjunct instructor at Samuel Merritt University where he teaches Orthopedic Management and Sports Medicine for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. He also teaches continuing education courses for Physical Therapists on sports rehabilitation.

 

His outside interests include running, yoga, boxing, rock climbing, ice climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, and travelling with his wife and 2 year-old son. Joseph is looking forward to working side by side with the different healthcare disciplines under Crossover Health’s integrative medicine model.

Olivia Chu is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic devoted on providing patient centric care. Dr. Olivia strives to spend time getting to know each patient to individualize treatments. She has treated many type of patients ranging from desk jockeys to the weekend warrior. Regardless of the activity level of the patient, Dr. Olivia’s main goal is to get the patient feeling better, faster and back to doing what they love.

 

Dr. Olivia attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA. During her time at Palmer, she was selected to intern at a Department of Defense hospital in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. There she worked with a mentor clinician in a multi-disciplinary setting to provide care for active duty military men and women. Dr. Olivia was also able to provide care for the Naval Academy’s football team during her internship. It was gratifying for her to be able to give back to the people who help serve and protect our country. Since graduating chiropractic school, Dr. Olivia has pursued a postgraduate degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®). The certification required a minimum of 100 hours specific to the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. The training has given Dr. Olivia the skills and knowledge in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.

 

During her free time, Dr. Olivia enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, traveling to Half Moon Bay, and checking out fresh produce at Farmer’s Markets. Dr. Olivia also enjoys weightlifting, baking, and cheering for her hometown’s Sacramento Kings.

Brenda is an acupuncturist on the move who loves to work with her patients to get them moving too. She’s a life-long martial artist, competitive athlete, and swing dancer who knows how important it is to be able to move freely without pain to keep a smile on your face. She specializes in the treatment of orthopedic disorders as well as digestive disorders, stress, and anxiety. No detail about your health is too insignificant to bring up to Brenda, she likes to consider herself your health’s private detective and sometimes those little clues are the key to the mystery!

 

Brenda is a Bay Area native who lives in San Francisco. She received her BA in Chinese from San Francisco State University and her MS in Traditional Chinese Medicine from The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also spent a year studying abroad at Peking University (北京大学) and has a Corrective Exercise Specialization. If she’s not in the clinic, there’s a good chance she’s out dancing in the city or home with a Philz coffee and her cats.

DJ Drosman, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with 13 years of experience working in the field of health and the healing arts. After majoring in psychology during his undergraduate studies in Wisconsin, he moved to New York to pursue his passion of trying to understand human behavior. He was able to fulfill his interests in both research and clinical work by working at a research lab studying drug addiction and sexual behavior and engaging in the more clinical side by working in a psychiatric inpatient unit helping people unable to manage their lives.

 

After he got his fill of New York, he moved to the bay area to become a psychologist. During his training, he has worked in settings ranging from community clinics, residential day treatment facilities, adult day health centers, hospitals and an elementary school. His version of therapy is holistic, drawing from both western and eastern approaches and enjoys helping people cultivate greater mindfulness and intentionality with their thoughts and behavior. His soulful approach is both active and warm, receiving all his patients in a deep way; his presence and focus is felt immediately when talking to him. He has a passion for the work and for helping people to become the best version they envision for themselves, encouraging people to work through the knots and stuck places they continue to find themselves in and moving out of the patterns that they repeat.

Nicholas Cardé, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience as a member of integrated healthcare teams. He has expertise in health promotion, depression, anxiety disorders, stress-reduction techniques, and the role of sleep in overall wellness. He specializes in behavioral sleep medicine and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia. Dr. Cardé previously served as a health psychologist in the Department of Adult Medicine at Kaiser Permanente, managed a private psychology practice, and consulted with a health technology startup. Dr. Cardé moved to California to pursue doctoral studies at the PGSP-Stanford University Consortium, finished his predoctoral internship at the Vanderbilt University-VA Medical Center Consortium in Nashville, and completed a two-year clinical health psychology fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
